Japan is an island country in East Asia, located northwest of the Pacific Ocean in northern hemisphere and surrounded by Pacific Ocean, the Sea of Okhotsk, the Sea of Japan, and the East China Sea.
Japan’s main island are Hokkaido, Honshu, Shikoku, Kyushu, and Okinawa. Tokyo is the capital of Japan and other big cities are Osaka, Kyoto, Nagoya, Sapporo, Fukuoka, Kobe etc. Japan is divided in 47 prefectures in 8 regions.

is sliced raw fish eaten with soy sauce.
Sukiyaki is prepared right at the table by cooking thinly sliced beef together with vegetables, tofu and vermicelli.
Tempura is food deep-fried in vegetable oil after being coated with a mixture of egg,
water and wheat flour. Among the ingredients used are prawns, fish in season and vegetables.
Yakitori is made up of small pieces of chicken and vegetables skewered on a bamboo stick and grilled over hot coals.
Soba and Udons are two type of Japanese noodles. Soba is made from buckwheat flour and Udon are made from wheat flour.

in a soup with hundreds of delicious
variations.
